Mansion Bloomsbury comprises a converted row of three townhouses.The accommodation provides 75 beds across 41 flats currently, but will be reconfigured to provide 69 beds in 35 rooms in the summer of 2012. This is a prime location in London and the building is on the opposite side of the road to the entrance to the School of Biological Sciences for the University of London.

Mansion Studios in Nottingham is the first of two acquisitions by MSAF in December 2011. This building will be reconfigured as part of the refurbishment works of an old office block, Bowman House, to provide 140 studio rooms. Works are due to commence immediately to ensure that they are completed by August 2012.

In November 2011, MSAF acquired Mansion Tower in the Borough of Lambeth, London. This building currently comprises 196 one bedroom studios across 14 floors and includes a gym on the lower ground floor. During the summer of 2012, the external areas, common room and studios will be upgraded to enhance the accommodation and construct 18 new, consented, one bedroom studios within an adjacent building to the main tower.

MSAF completed on the acquisition of James Craig Court Edinburgh on 25 October 2011.  Currently providing a mix of oversized cluster flats and studios, the property will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment programme in the summer of 2012, increasing the total number of existing beds to 116 by September 2012.

Gordon started his career at HSBC Institutional Fund Services in Edinburgh where he worked as a Fund Administrator in the Cash and Corporate Action team. In this role, Gordon was responsible for the trade processing and exception reporting for a variety of institutional clients.

In 2007, Gordon joined BNY Mellon as a member of the Institutional Accounting team in London. His duties in this role included working on the monthly NAV valuation for several large pension funds, investigating exceptions between the custody and accounting platforms, and dealing with any adhoc reporting queries from the client or third parties.

Gordon joined Dartmoor Capital Management Limited (“DCML”) in June 2011 as Senior Fund Administrator.

The Mansion Student Accommodation Fund (“MSAF”) has purchased The Brook at Selly Oak, Birmingham for £11.65m. The property currently consists of 13 flats, totalling 72 beds, and will be converted into 106 studios by September 2011.

The University of Birmingham is located only 400m from The Brook, and has the 6th largest student population of any institution in the UK.

The Mansion Student Accommodation Fund (“MSAF”) acquired Lightfoot Hall, Kings Road, Chelsea on the 4th April 2011.  This property currently comprises a 10 storey building and provides a total of 165 bedrooms and a total of 299 beds.  134 of the bedrooms are configured to provide for double occupancy.  As part of the refurbishment which will take place in Q2 2012, when the current tenancies come to an end, the building will be reconfigured to provide 136 studio rooms and 80 double occupancy bed-deck rooms.  This is recognised as a landmark acquisition for MSAF and a key addition to the portfolio.

Having graduated from the University of Reading with BSc (Hons) Land Management, Oliver joined Dartmoor Capital Management Limited (“DCML”) in January 2011 after completing a work placement the previous year.

On a day-to-day basis Oliver works closely with, and provides administrative support to Mark Sennett and Elaine Acolatse.

He currently assists with the reconciliation of monthly trades as well as undertaking research on potential acquisitions into the Mansion Student Accommodation Fund (“MSAF”).

The Mansion Student Accommodation  Fund (“MSAF”) completed the acquisition of Ben Russell Court in Leicester for £20.67m in December, consisting of 91 flats, with 430 beds.

The property is situated approximately 200m from the De Montfort University campus, and consists of 5 floors split between 3, 4 and 5 bed roomed cluster flats.

The property consists of 605 bedrooms spread over 6 floors comprising 2, 4, 5 and 6 bed flats, along with several 1 bed apartments and large studios.

Nottingham Trent University is only a 5 minute walk from Glasshouse and has a population of approximately 25k students.
